Three Decades of Love

Our Story
Marvin and Sharisse have been married for over 30 years and have two children in their 20s. When they first met, both were working minimum-wage jobs. Marvin worked in a gym, while Sharisse worked in a suit store on Hollywood Boulevard.
Over the course of their relationship, they both became accomplished authors. Between them they have two master’s degrees in counseling. For the last several years, Marvin has served as an adjunct professor of counseling at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. When one factors in their ministry experience and Marvin’s counseling practice, they have been helping couples for more than three decades.
Over the last 15 years, Marvin has specialized in helping minority couples through his private practice, assisting hundreds of couples over the years. The Mixed to Match Series combines their life experiences, hardships, advanced education, and the principles Marvin has applied successfully with his clients throughout the years.
